My dermatologist told me that part of my adult acne was caused by stress. Then she went on to tell me to try to cut stress out of my life. I don’t know anything about you, but if you can just “cut out stress” in your life, we wouldn’t have it at the beginning! This is obviously not a very viable option, but it is still an adult acne cause.
Many adults, especially women, use bath and beauty products that contain fragrances or other harsh chemicals that irritate the skin. Ladies, if you haven’t done so yet, switch to makeup that isn’t comedogenic, which means it won’t clog your pores; Clinique or mineral makeup are good alternatives.
For both genders, switch to a no-fragrance-added shampoo. The zinc helps to kill bacteria in the skin and does not contain any hard fragrances or ingredients. It also keeps get rid of acne which is particularly irritating, at least for me.
